Today marks another major announcement for the Polymesh blockchain: general admission to testnet v1, Aldebaran, on June 23, 2020.

Aldebaran might not be the first name that comes to mind when thinking about the security token revolution; to find the right one we looked to our roots (and to the stars). Aldebaran is the brightest star in the Taurus constellation, and known as the bull’s eye to astronomers and now the Polymath team.

True to our open-source ethos, community feedback on Aldebaran will be integral to the success of Polymesh. We’ll be looking to our community, and the industry as a whole, to review the features and functionality of Aldebaran for feedback. In the coming months, we’ll be releasing different products, features, and functionalities for our community to test, including:

POLY to POLYX Upgrade Bridge
Polymesh Wallet
Token configuration platform
Staking mechanism
Governance management
And much more
Technical users can apply to get limited and early access. General admission for Aldebaran will open on June 23, 2020. See the latest from Coindesk.

Stay tuned to the Polymath blog for more on Aldebaran.
