The CEO of Kingdom Trust, a regulated custodian managing over $13 billion in assets, believes a generational shift will soon open the $28 trillion retirement industry to Bitcoin.

In an interview with Cointelegraph, Ryan Radloff, the CEO of the crypto-friendly $13 billion custodian Kingdom Trust, asserted that a “generational change” will soon open the $28 trillion United States retirement fund industry to crypto assets.

"Right now, the single largest addressable market for Bitcoin is the 28 trillion dollars in the U.S. retirement market,” Radloff asserted, “There is no single more addressable market for Bitcoin to penetrate, or all digital assets, for that matter."

"Right now, all of that money is about to go through this generational change, and there has been hardly any penetration of Bitcoin into that market today," he added.

"From a stock-to-flow standpoint, that is a massive deal, because now what you’re doing is unlocking a massive amount of new dollars that can in-flow into our industry. And that’s what that's why it's so important."

Making the Case for People’s Money

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are now challenging the hegemony of the U.S. dollar and other fiat currencies.

In May 2020, a historic event cut the daily incoming supply of Bitcoin from 1800 Bitcoin per day to 900 Bitcoin per day—a sort of quantitative hardening—opposite of what the Fed is doing by printing trillions of dollars. Central banks, in simplest terms, create money out of nothing. They create “fake money” and loan it to governments.

Bitcoin, on the other hand, is completely decentralized meaning that nobody can manipulate the market and there is not any single point of failure. It will be interesting to see how long the Central Banks will tolerate the competition from cyber money before there is a showdown.

A hacker allegedly behind a spate of Twitter account hacks on Wednesday gained access to a Twitter “admin” tool on the company’s network that allowed them to hijack high-profile Twitter accounts to spread a cryptocurrency scam, according to a person with direct knowledge of the incident.

Bitcoin bulls target $10,500 after BTC managed a strong weekly close and rallied to $10,315.

Within the last hour, Bitcoin (BTC) price rallied above $10,000 to set a new monthly high at $10,315.

The move came after a rather uneventful weekly close which saw the top-ranked digital asset on CoinMarketCap close above an important multi-year descending trendline. A few hours after the close, Bitcoin price found renewed strength and surged above the $10,100 resistance zone.

Analysts now expect traders to target $10,500, and above this level price estimates ranging from $11,000, $14,000 and even $16,000 have been thrown about.

While this is exciting for bulls, it’s important to note that Bitcoin price has rallied 12.76% since rising from $9,142 on July 21 and the price has yet to retest underlying support around $9,450.

There is also a CME gap at $9,615 which has yet to be filled. Given the importance traders attribute to CME gaps, any pullback below $9,800 heightens the likelihood that the gap will be filled.

The last two moves above $10,000 occurred on high volume surges, meaning traders should keep an eye on buy and sell volume on the 1 and 4-hour timeframe to determine if the current move can keep upward momentum.
