On August 15 2020, Drife conducted very first driver meetup with about 50 drivers. For it to be safe for everyone and close to a real event, we organized it as a Virtual meet-up. We have tackled critical points... such as what sets Drife apart from its competitors. Needless to say, the Drivers were very excited to be a part of a complete, transparent system that’s also among the Starfleet India winners!

Together with them, Drife will emerge to transform the ride-hailing industry. Our cofounder- Firdosh Sheikh (CEO) was present to personally thank everyone who contributed to make this happen. A recent Bloomberg report concluded that Bitcoin may be priming for a massive bull run.

Even the report’s name is bullish — “Bitcoin Maturation Leap”. The report mentions a number of reasons that the B...itcoin market is maturing, and that it is due for a bull run. It also affirms that “Bitcoin is gaining relative fuel as stocks reset, if history is a guide”.

Bitcoin becoming digital gold

Furthermore, Bloomberg says that Bitcoin and gold, both considered hedge assets, are expected to win the most from the recent COVID-19 induced market turmoil:

“Bitcoin and gold also stand to be primary beneficiaries of the unprecedented monetary stimulus that's accompanied by a mean-reverting stock market.”

It also observes that Bitcoin's correlation to gold “has increased to all-time highs”, concluding:

“This year will confirm Bitcoin's transition from a risk-on speculative asset to the crypto market's version of gold.”

The report reiterates that 2020 will be the year when Bitcoin becomes digital gold:

“This year marks a key test for Bitcoin's transition toward a quasi-currency like gold, and we expect it to pass.”

As reported by ChainNews, tests will soon start in China to use the digital currency of the Yuan for which agreements have been made with several companies and catering chains including McDonald’s and Starbucks....

Yesterday there was a meeting sponsored by the Department of Reform and Development of the Management Commission of the New District of Xiong’an where the research and development of the digital currency was discussed. The meeting was also open to various merchants.

In this specific case, the meeting focused on catering and retail companies and the pilot project will start from the New District of Xiong’an, which was established only in September 2019.

The companies involved include:

Jiankun Catering,
Kaili Hotel,
Oscar Studios,
McDonald’s,
Starbucks,
Subway,
Golden Baihe,
Cainiao Inn,

This will be the first step towards the concrete use of this Chinese digital currency. It is worth recalling that the Blockchain Xiong’an Lab was unveiled only at the end of March and the director of the Xiong’an Lab, Li Jun, has set himself 2 goals:

“One is to establish a unified blockchain infrastructure platform that is compatible with different blockchains. Secondly, on this platform, we will further explore the application of blockchain in Xiong’an New District, and integrate and upgrade it.”
