The xx team is happy to announce that the final selection for the Violet group is live!

After receiving over 230 applications from 50 countries in only 8 days, the xx network BetaNet Node Team along with our community has reviewed and narrowed down the list to a final 114 nodes.

As with everything xx network does, we encouraged the community to offer their input on our initial selection and provide us with their invaluable feedback. Applications remained open to a second period of public comment on the xx forum, step 5 of our accelerated democratic process, as described here.

This is a crucial step in our process, as it allowed us to ask for clarification on incomplete applications where we had found potential, but were not included in the initial list. We were able to reach out to applicants and ask them to provide us with further information and upon additional consideration of their answers and their experience, we made the decision to accept 5 more nodes into the final list.

We are happy to announce that the final Violet Group selection consists of nodes in 47 countries around the world, distributed in 8 geographic bins: Americas, Western Europe, Central Europe, Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa, Russia and Asia.
