Since our last Block newsletter, we launched Helium Hotspots in Europe and Helium Tabs, our first personal IoT tracker available to existing Hotspot owners in North America. We also announced a new partnership with Conserv to help protect historic art collections in galleries and museums with the help of The People’s Network.
In addition, we’ve achieved major milestones on the engineering side, from Data Credit updates to snazzy Helium Console features, and a new release of our mobile app.

Data Credits Purchase Live on Helium Console
Last week, we made it possible for Helium Console users to buy Data Credits with a credit card, and we’re currently working on the capability to burn HNT and acquire Data Credits within Helium Console. This is a major milestone in the implementation of Data Credits. To learn more, read our blog on Data Credits here and check out the Reddit AMA we hosted here.
Mobile App Version 2.0.1 Now Available
A new version of our mobile app for iOS and Android is now available so make sure you’re up to date! We’ve added features like Helium Wallet address validation (a green checkmark to indicate if the address is a valid Helium Blockchain address), showing the block number when your Hotspot is syncing, showing whether your Hotspot has transferred data packets, and updating our community link to Discord.
